Features to know about

Absorbs Road Shock for a Smooth Ride

Shocker Hitch Installed

The core of this Shocker Hitch coupler is the air bag. It changes the way your trailer moves. It takes the edge off when you hit the throttle, stop suddenly, or run into rough patches in the road. Instead of that shock and bounce transferring straight to the truck, it gets absorbed right at the hitch. Your trailer stays steady, and your truck doesn't feel like it's getting beat up every time the road gets rough.

Hook Up and Forget It

Shocker Hitch Latches

With some couplers, you're never quite sure if they're secure. This Demco eZ-Latch coupler fixes that. Just drop it onto the ball and it latches itself. There are no extra steps involved, and you won't have to hang over the side of your truck straining to get a pin in. Once it's connected, you know it's going to stay put. And if you're leaving your trailer hooked up somewhere, the InfiniteRule lock (IR66FR - sold separately) keeps the latch from being opened so no one can pull up and take it.

Adjust the Air, Control the Ride

Shocker Hitch Zerk

Every load's different. One day it's stack of treated lumber for a deck rebuild, the next it's a compact tractor with a brush cutter. That's why there's a valve built in for the air bag. Just add air for heavier hauls and let some out when the trailer's running light. It keeps the truck and trailer in sync so the ride stays smooth, no matter what you're hauling.

Video Transcript for Review of Shocker Hitch Gooseneck Coupler - Coupler with Inner Tube Only - SHK38YR

Hi, everyone. Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Shocker Hitch Air Cushioned Gooseneck Coupler for three-inch balls with a nice square shank, rated an impressive 40,000 pounds. That's right, folks, 40,000 pounds GTW and 8,000 pounds tongue weight, with their patented 40,000-pound dual-latching shift lock coupler, again, for a three-inch gooseneck ball. So if you're looking for this, you obviously have a super heavy duty, high rated trailer. With this system, you're gonna get a smoother towing.

It's gonna improve your ride, reduce wear and tear on pickups and the trailer. The air ride technology uses that built-in air ride system with the airbag, the trailer valves on top, and you've got these two massive pins and two massive cushions here to help assist against all that shocking, jarring, bumps, jerks, all those kind of things that are felt normally when towing on rough roads, concrete highways, those kind of things. And setup is really simple. You just pull out your old inner tube, shove this whole system back up inside of there. You've got three adjustment holes here on the side, and that's how you're gonna hook it up.

And then once again, you have that patented dual-locking jaw set up here on the coupler head. Simply pull the pin out, and if you look back here, you're gonna see once this gets locked, now you've got both pins visibly sticking out. So now you know visibly, and then you can put the pin back through here saying, "Hey, this is in the locked position. Everything's safe to go." And it is super big and beefy. Everything has a nice elegant powder coat on it, red and black.

You've got grease zerks here for your maintenance for grease and everything to make sure it's moving quietly and just pivoting like it should be. So again, the simple pivot design uses the rocker arms and everything in here with the whole system together. And that can pivot, which produces front and back motion, much different than other cushion hitches that are out there on the market. So you don't have to worry about extra gadgets or anything, this is an all-in-one system. Again, it's gonna give you improved control of both the tow vehicle and the trailer that you're towing, because again, it's gonna absorb all those things, the shocking and all those kind of things.

Again, it's adjustable with the airbag. So whether you're carrying a super heavy load or empty, you can adjust it on the fly with a simple bicycle pump. It really, I mean, if you have an air compressor, that'll make it a little quicker, probably, but you gotta remember, this is all about volume in a small space. So it's not gonna take too many pumps on even a hand pump to get you where you need to be. So where do I start Well, in the instructions, they're gonna give you a chart that basically mentions about, you know, here's the range based on your weight that you should kind of start on the airbag here as far as your tongue weight. And then of course the height adjustments. That's up to you and your setup as well, as far as what correct height and those kind of things. So if you have questions about this or any of our other products, please reach out to us here at etrailer.com via chat, email, or phone. We'll be more than happy to assist you. That's gonna wrap it up for our look together. I'm Steven, thanks for watching, and stay safe on the road.

Just received the Shocker hitch and have not installed it yet. The hitch was received in good shape, however the cardboard box it was in was beat up pretty bad due to the weight of this hitch. Supplier needs stronger/better packaging for thes heavy parts.

by:

Great product, you can really notice the difference when traveling down the rough roads.

by:

Works great, but after a couple of hours the air leaks out, I only put 35psi in it , I might go with something mechanical

by:

We put this on a flat bed trailer 40ft it bucked realy bad when empty on dirt roads. This has helped with the pressure a lot well worth the money.
